CLAIMS BAE SYSTEMS IS LOSING ITS CONTRACT DENIED
The Department of Defence has denied claims that BAE Systems Australia, which operates a flying school in Tamworth, hasn’t been successful in regaining its contract.
The Australian Defence Magazine reported the company would operate the facility for ‘at least another four years’, suggesting competitor Lockheed Martin had been awarded the contract for the next 25 years.
However, a Defence Department spokesperson says the contract is yet to be considered, and that a decision isn’t expected until the second half of 20-15.
