Keen runners from across the Manning will have a chance to join thousands around the country, as the Park Run initiative is launched in Taree this Saturday.
Following in the footsteps of regional centres like Tamworth, organisers are expecting more than 300 people to attend the free, timed, 5 kilometre running event.
The whole inclusive community that is Park Run really impressed me um we don’t have a lot of stuff happening on the waterfront here so it’s perfect for that.” Organiser Marg Lewis said.
The weekly fitness favourite will begin at Endeavour Park Reserve at 8am on Saturday.
