While small business appears to be the big winner is last night’s federal budget, Steve Atkins from the Manning Valley Business Chamber believes the benefits may not necessarily be felt locally.
He says the $-20,000 tax write-off offered for purchasing equipment, that most business people are welcoming, is one of the key issues.
“To spend that money to get the write off that will be hard- look it’s a good initiative but we don’t really have that cash-flow in the economy that I can see locally,” he said.
