TEENAGER CHARGED AFTER AGGRAVATED INDECENT ASSAULT IN LIBRARY

A teenager has been charged with the aggravated indecent assault of a child in a library in the Hunter Valley.

Police say the four-year-old girl was in the playing area at Cessnock Library last Wednesday when an 18-year-old man allegedly kissed and touched the child before being challenged by a witness. The teen was not known to the child.

The 18-year-old was charged on Friday afternoon and will face Cessnock Local Court on the 20th of May.
