After a summer push for junior baseball to return to Tamworth after a five year absence, the first matches were played today.
About fifty players took to the diamond, with only six boasting prior experience.
Participants were aged up to 14, with the youngest being just two years old.
A six week program has been allocated, but with unexpected interest, negotiations have begun with parents to increase it to 12.
