HAMMOND FALLS JUST SHORT OF A MAIDEN DARTS WORLD TITLE

Australia’s Corrine Hammond has fallen agonisingly short of claiming the title, at the World Masters darts tournament in the UK, beaten in the final.
Hammond made a decent start against Lorraine Winstanley, grabbing a 2-1 lead.
But from that point, the number five seed was outclassed by her English rival.
“It is there and Lorraine Winstanley is the 2017 Ladies World Masters champion.”
