WEATHER: EAST COAST LOW LATEST

We are now entering the worst period, as the east coast low reaches its peak and begins to track south along the coast.

Heavy rain causing flooding, strong to gale force winds and huge dangerous seas and swell will track south overnight into tomorrow. It’s expected to reach the Hunter by Saturday afternoon.

Once the centre of the low passes, conditions will ease quickly in the north.

The system will clear during Sunday.

Boating and surfing is not recommended, until the centre of the low passes.
