NORTH WEST REGION WELL REPRESENTED AT AHL TOURNAMENT

The north west will be well represented at this year’s Australian Hockey League tournament, with a raft of men and women selected for respective New South Wales sides.

Armidale’s Georgie Morgan will join Tamworth’s Alice Arnott and Kate Jenner in the New South Wales Arrows squad, while Matt Willis and Sam Liles will line-up for the men’s Waratahs.

The A-H-L tournament has received an overhaul this year, with the annual carnival now spread over four weekends, instead of two weeks.

The tournament begins in October.
