MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG AND FIREARM OFFENCES

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Belmont woman Carly McBride, have charged a man with drug and firearms offences.
At around 12:30pm yesterday, Strike Force Karabi executed three search warrants in Scone and Muswellbrook.
Police allegedly found three firearms, a silencer, methamphetamine and more than $5,000 cash.
A 24-year-old man was charged with 13 offences and will appear before Scone Local Court today.
Police have stressed the charges do not relate to the ongoing investigation of Carly McBride, but say they came about as a result of that investigation.
The 31-year-old mother was last see on Calgaroo Avenue at Muswellbrook on September 30 last year.
Police hold serious concerns for her welfare and are investigating a possible homicide.
