SES SCAM WARNING
The SES says it’s received several calls from residents who’ve had people calling them, claiming they are members of the organisation and are running a raffle to support flood victims.
The SES says it does NOT operate any such raffles.
Authorities are also warning of people dressed as SES volunteers and door knocking for donations at Lake Macquarie, as well as Tanilba Bay in Port Stephens.
Again, the SES says it NEVER door knocks residents.
Meanwhile residents in Bolton Point at Lake Macquarie have also reported seeing people dressed as SES volunteers and looting homes in the area.
