SHOP ATTENDANT STABBED IN ARMED ROBBERY
A 26-year-old male shop attendant was stabbed in the chest during an armed robbery at Lake Macquarie last night.
At around 7pm, a man entered a convenience store along the Pacific Highway at Marks Point and threatened him with a knife.
The man stabbed him in the chest, before fleeing on foot with a small amount of cash.
The shop attendant was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
Police are looking for a man described as being Caucasian, in his 30s, around 176-centimetres tall with a medium build.
His face was covered by a white top and he was wearing dark shorts and a dark shirt.
