If you never thought of baking as an art form, think again.
You only have to see some of the creations made by the Australian Baking Team to understand.
The team members are in Newcastle this week for an intensive training camp, where they’ll be finessing new techniques in preparation for next year’s Baking World Cup in Paris.
They’re also trailling new recipes in a bid to wow the international judging panel and secure their place in the cup.
Five of the country’s best baking experts have been selected on the team, which includes Hunter TAFE teachers Dean Tilden and Dean Gibson.
