COVID VACCINE PROGRAM RAMPS UP ON THE NORTH COAST

The North Coast’s vaccine rollout will receive a boost this week.

Nearly 4000 extra doses will be made available, through commonwealth vaccination clinics and GPs, from Monday.

Over the past fortnight, Healthy North Coast has recorded a surge in the number of people coming forward to receive their jab – with an additional 18,000 people rolling up their sleeves compared to the previous two weeks.

Meanwhile, more than 100 protesters gathered in Byron Bay’s Railway Park this afternoon, opposing the federal government’s vaccination program.

With police in tow, the group marched through the town’s centre – chanting their message of ‘my body, my choice.’
