Kurri’s Chad Reed remains fifth in the American Supercross series following the latest round in Houston.
The former world champion was second fastest in qualifying, but dropped to fourth in his heat, behind teammate, Josh Grant.
In the main event, the Australian made a solid start and was soon challenging for second.
“Short bobbled coming through that big sweeper and Reed gets past and up into second place.”
But a run-in with Jason Anderson on lap nine cost Reed valuable spots.
He dropped back to eventually finish fifth.
