It began as a breakfast club in primary schools, ensuring children were getting a nutritious start to the day, but according to organisers,
the Chuck Duck charity group is feeding a wider need in the community.
The group brings food, plays and activities to schools, featuring underlying anti-bullying and child protection messages, in the hope no child falls through the cracks.
Today, with the help of sponsors, the Carrington Bowling Club hosted the group’s Christmas party for 130 children.
