COASTAL MANAGEMENT PLANS UP FOR DISCUSSION
Residents are being urged to have their say on plans to preserve beaches around the Great Lakes region.
Council has put its coastal zone management report on public exhibition, which sets out a plan to tackle erosion at popular spots like One Mile and Jimmy’s beaches.
“It develops those priorities in terms of immediacy in terms of need and then puts scenarios into the future of what might be a cost effective response in 50 years time,”Great Lakes Council’s Geoff Love said.
Council will host a number of information sessions over the next month.
