WOODWARD SNATCHES SECOND IN 100M BACKSTROKE

It’s one of the biggest weeks of Brad Woodward’s life.
The 19-year-old is currently in action at the Australian Swimming Trials, fighting for a place at the Commonwealth Games.
The Mingara star sealed second in the men’s 100-metre backstroke last night.
Woodward’s 100-metre fate is now in the hand of selectors, having finished the race at 54.24 just over the A-qualifying time.
He will return to the pool for the 200-metre backstroke tomorrow.
