Almost a million dollars in grants were handed out to community groups and charities today,
as part of the Newcastle Permanent’s allocation of charitable foundation funds.
Organisations such as Canteen, Surf Life Saving, and family and disability support groups received a boost.
In all, 21 groups from the Central Coast, New England, mid north coast, Hunter and Northern Rivers shared in the donations.
