KIBBLE PARK FIRST IN LINE FOR GOSFORD’S REVITALISATION

Oh Please! Not ANOTHER revamp of Kibble Park. We have already had two (or 3?) Spend the money where it will benefit many more local people. Like the North / East bypass from Springfield to North Gosford which was planned well over 50 years ago. That will stop the enormous traffic congestion between Gosford and Springfield every day, will reduce through traffic in the CBD and East Gosford, and will reduce travel time and distance between Erina and North Gosford. The North East Bypass is proposed to effectively cater for future traffic needs in the area without the need for upgrading capacity on The Entrance Road (Central Coast Highway) and ‘Gosford CBD corridor. All these attributes can be found in a Gosford Council Paper released in 1996 entitled ‘East Gosford / Springfield Local Area Traffic Management Scheme’ which Council have obviously forgotten about.
