A 17-year-old woman has died after the car she was driving slammed into a garbage truck at Port Macquarie.
The P-plater was driving along Hasting River Drive when she veered into the path of the garbage truck.
A two-year-old in the car was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The dead teenager was not the mother of the child.
The driver of the garbage truck was not injured.
