Police are investigating the death of a 12-year-old boy, who was hit by a ute at Port Stephens yesterday.
The boy got off a school bus along Marsh Road at Bobs Farm at around 4pm, and was struck by the vehicle as he crossed the road.
He suffered critical injuries and died on the way to hospital.
The 19-year-old driver of the ute has undergone mandatory blood and urine tests.
