It was another hot day across the region with a slow moving southerly triggering plenty of rain across Sydney this afternoon, before creeping onto the Central Coast and Hunter.
The change will continue its way north over night. Tomorrow will be cooler and partly cloudy along the coast with more storms expected near the border towns and ranges before reaching the Gold Coast.
Inland will see a little impact as it is a weak southerly so only a few patchy showers are expected to reach the Tablelands and Tamworth at best while the plains remain quite hot.
Conditions will clear for a mostly fine weekend.
