A Judge has branded a man “a vigilante”, after he pummelled his friend’s step-grandfather outside a Nerang chemist.
Aaron Carrey argued, he attacked 70 year old Bruce McNair after co-accused Tara Bell claimed McNair had assaulted her years prior.
The court heard, Carrey had been released on parole for a home invasion a month before the attack.
He pleaded guilty and was handed a two year sentence, but will be eligible for parole in January next year.
Bell was yesterday acquitted by a jury.
