Family and friends braved the razor in Maitland this morning to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Some came from as far as Gosford, to shave their heads in support of Roy DeFiddes (Deh-Fid-Dees), who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer.
“Four weeks ago we had $0 in the World’s Greatest Shave sponsorship page and I think this morning I had nearly $9,000 so that’s been phenomenal”
Wife Merril (Merryl) even took on the clippers.
The group hopes to raise more than $12,000.
