Debate over a proposed mosque at Elermore Vale has already divided the community, and now councillors and the local MP are at loggerheads.
Councillor Mike Jackson today criticised Sonia Hornery for being quiet on the issue, while claiming the state MP should be taken to task about giving $125,000 to the muslim association to work on the project.
“Look it’s a lot of money to be given to a private development of $6-million I think that there are other groups that are worthy out there.”
