ANZAC MEMORIAL WALK ALMOST COMPLETE
The final section of Newcastle’s highly anticipated ANZAC Memorial Walk, between Strzlecki Lookout and Bar Beach, has been installed.
Crews worked through the night, using a crane to carefully lift the stainless steel sections onto the clifftop.
While the main walkway is now in place, work will continue over the coming weeks on completing handrails and commemorative panels to honour the Hunter’s World War One veterans.
The project will be finished in time for the Gallipoli centenary in April.
