HAPPY ENDING AFTER SCOOTER STOLEN
After his scooter was stolen last weekend, Newcastle stoke victim Ron Collins has a new set of wheels, thanks to a helpful neighbour and local support network.
Leapfrog Ability today joined forces with Scooters and Mobility to present the 68-year-old with a secondhand motorised scooter, worth almost $4,000.
The two donors heard about Ron’s predicament, after his story aired on NBN News earlier this week.
Tony Padgett says it’s been a rough few days for elderly neighbour, who relies on the scooter to get around.
“Absolutely over the moon and we can’t believe that within an hour after the news, three people had called up and offered scooters to Ron,” he said.
