BAYLISS TO MAKE A COMEBACK FROM RETIREMENT

Seven years after he retired, three-time world superbike champion Troy Bayliss will hit the track once again.

The former Taree local has been called up to replace injured Ducati rider, Davide Giugliano, in the world superbike races at Phillip Island this weekend.

The 45-year-old last raced on the track in 2008, when he claimed his third championship.

Practice for the 22-lap race begins tomorrow.
