WEATHER: CYCLONE MAY COME DOWN THE COAST
There are numerous lows forming along the monsoon trough at the moment, one of them may become a concern to us later in the week.
The low in the Coral Sea may head south affecting the south east Queensland coast around Thursday and the northern New South Wales coast by the weekend.
These systems have an unpredictable nature so it is a system we have to watch closely. If the low heads south, it will bring with it a large amount of rain that would have the potential to cause flooding.
Sea surface temperatures are very warm at the moment and that will help maintain the strength of the storm if it does head south.
I’ll check the development of this system every day, so stay tuned, we may have to prepare for this one in the coming days.
