Umina’s Bronte Smith and MacMaster’s Matthew Douglass have been named the region’s junior lifesavers of the year.
The awards were announced during the Junior Branch Championships held in Terrigal today.
“It really has shown me what I can do, and it has really given me a confidence booster to pursue more.”
“It means everything, having my family and club guiding me every step of the way is just a great honour.”
The championships saw 1000 nippers take on surf and sand events.
