CENTRAL COAST MOURNS LOSS OF WILDLIFE WARRIOR

The Central Coast’s much-loved wildlife warrior, Gwen Parry-Jones, has passed away overnight.
The 91-year-old, who founded the Wildlife Animal Rescue & Care Society in 1987, spent more than 30 years caring for injured and orphaned native animals.
In 2010 the environmentalist was awarded the Order of Australia Medal as part of the Queen’s Birthday honours.
She’ll be missed by many in the community and her legacy will live on through her work.
