HAVE YOUR SAY ON PORT’S CAR PARKING

A comprehensive survey is underway from today, asking about everything from shopping habits to opinions on paid parking.

  1. re Parkin; Because Port Macquarie has such a small cbd in terms of area, I feel the only solution is multi storey parking. The hole alongside the Target car park could be developed but not higher than the churches, also the area behind the centrelink offices, perhaps extending a small way onto the existing plaza carpark but not substantially, so as not to obscure the present view of the river. Does the development of the Hayward St, site include multi storey parking and if not why not? Also the residents simply have to realise that they can no longer park at the door of every business they want to patronise, they actually have to do what every other major city requires and WALK. Another area that could possibly be used is the red dirt hill at the southern end of Hay St..

  2. And when there is a bulding to done in Port the first thing that gose is the car parks then we have to find some where to park ,we have been in Port over 30years and Port is growing and if the Port council can not see that they are all blind
there is a big hole corner of Murray St.& Willam St. it has been that for a few years that could be multiply story car park ,we will still have a parking problem in Port what ever is done
