YOUNG MAN DIES AFTER BALLINA BRAWL LAST WEEK

A 24-year-old man injured in a brawl in Ballina on the weekend has died in the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Jesse Vilkelis-Curas suffered ‘catastrophic head injuries’ during an altercation near the Shaws Bay Hotel on Sunday night.

Police confirmed today his life support had been turned off on Boxing Day.

The investigation into the alleged attack is ongoing, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
