KNIGHTS ALL STARS FRONT THE CAMERAS ON THE GOLD COAST

Mixed news on the injury front for the Knights, with Sione Mata’utia cleared to resume training in the next week, while Carlos Tuimavave has an ankle sprain and will be sidelined for a month.

Meanwhile, Newcastle’s All Stars representatives fronted the cameras today to promote Friday’s game on the Gold Coast.

Kiwi international Jeremy Smith will play in the annual clash for the first time, under his former coach.

“This is the first one. Told Wayne I should’ve been picked a while ago but he begs to differ. Ha ha.”

Smith is in the NRL team, along with Beau Scott – they’ll take on fellow Knights Tyrone Roberts and Dane Gagai.

“They’re out there to win the game and we will be too so I dare say there’ll be some heavy contact out there.”
