TAMWORTH REGIONAL COUNCIL TO CONSIDER $500K AIRPORT PLAN
A half-a-million dollar plan to upgrade Tamworth Airport will be put to council at its first meeting next week.
The proposal aims to cater for increased passenger services by upgrading check-in counters, the baggage processing area and staff facilities.
It’s hoped the improvements may attract additional carriers in the future.
When JETGO commences its Brisbane service next month, all check-in spaces will be in use.
Council will also discuss hiring contractors, which would be funded from its Airport Reserve.
