Minister Gay was also on hand to celebrate the completion of the expansion of Port Waratah Coal Services’ two terminals.
The $950-million project will provide over half a million tonnes of additional coal stockpile, taking the total capacity to 145 million tonnes annually.
Port Waratah is also continuing to seek approval for its Terminal Four proposal.
