Tamworth’s Ronald McDonald House has been given the final funding boost it’s been looking for to expand the facility.
Today it was granted $28,000 in state government funding, which will see a fifth bedroom constructed, as well as office space and a retreat area.
The charity has been fundraising so this can go ahead for the last 12 months.
“Catering to about 350 families currently so to be able to cater with 440 families a year is a significant um amount of people we can make a difference to in the North West region.”
It’s hoped construction will commence next month.
