FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ON THE COFFS COAST

After a dry winter, rain has finally arrived on the Coffs Coast.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, 100 millimetres fell in the 24 hours to 9am and while another 40 millimetres was recorded today.
And in just one hour this morning, 77-millimetres was recorded at Bray Street in Coffs Harbour.
A minor flood warning was also issued for the Coffs Creek, which reached more than two metres just after midday.
While the rain was welcomed by many, the annual Junior OzTag National Championships had to be postponed, with fields turned to flood plains.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of the Mid North Coast from Macksville through to Grafton.
