COUNCIL TO KEEP CLOSE WATCH ON DIRTY SMELLY CREEK

There’s good news for Emerald Beach residents worried about water quality in Moonee Creek.
Following our news story last night, a spokeperson says Coffs Harbour City Council will review the situation, and if necessary, conduct water sampling to determine why the creek is dirty and smelly.
In a statement Council also acknowledged it was aware of sediment spill from a neighbouring private development.
It’s instructed the developer to repair any damaged sediment and erosion control measures, and mitigate potential runoff to the creek.
