STOLEN CAR CRASHED IN LAKE MACQUARIE
Two teenagers have been charged after allegedly stealing a car and crashing it at Lake Macquarie.
A Nissan Tiida sedan was reported stolen from a property at Eleebana last weekend.
Police say the car was seen at a petrol station at Belmont at around 11pm yesterday, before it crashed into a vehicle along the Pacific Highway at Blacksmiths.
A 17-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy allegedly ran from the scene.
Witnesses managed to detain one boy until police arrived, while the other was tracked down by a police dog.
The pair was taken to Charlestown Police Station and charged with a string of offences.
