FORMER WALLABY CLEARED OF PROTEST CHARGES
Former Wallabies captain, David Pocock, has been cleared of all charges relating to his involvement in a Maules Creek mine protest.
The 26-year-old locked himself on to a digger in the Leard State Forest for more than 10 hours in November last year.
Around 30 others joined the protest and blockade.
Pocock was initially charged with three offences, including entering enclosed land without lawful excuse and hindering the working of mining equipment.
But after he pleaded guilty at Gunnedah Local Court today to hindering a workman in use of property, those offences were withdrawn.
The remaining charge was dismissed without conviction.
