Construction is about to begin on the long awaited new car park at Coffs Harbour Hospital.
Contractors are hoping to complete the $8 million project by the middle of the year, but the scheduled start of work today was delayed by rain.
450 additional car parks will be created with fees to be introduced for the first time when the facilities are opened.
“Starting at free for the first 30 minutes up to a maximum of $5 a day. There will be concessions for concession holders,” said Health Campus General Manager Dr Theresa Bewswick.
Rear access to the health campus will be blocked until the work is completed.
