A man has been charged with 27 offences following a series of alleged break and enters in the Lake Macquarie area.
Detectives attended a home at Windale yesterday morning, where they allegedly found the 23-year-old hiding in the roof.
He was taken to Charlestown Police Station and charged with a string of offences including aggravated break and enter, goods in custody and larceny.
The man is due to face Newcastle Local Court today.
