It’s been revealed that a teenager, who had both his legs severed by a train in Taree, has since passed away in John Hunter Hospital.
The man was celebrating his 18th birthday with friends and family last week, when he was hit by a freight train at a railway crossing in Bushland Drive.
His injuries were considered critical.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
