TWO MEN CHARGED OVER CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULTS
Lake Macquarie Detectives have flown to New Zealand as part of Strike Force Lozano to arrest two men for historical sexual assaults.
A 66-year-old former Catholic Brother was arrested in relation to 252 child sex assault offences, on 35 male victims.
22 child sex assault offences were also laid against a 61-year-old Catholic brother, in relation to seven male victims.
It will be alleged these offences occurred at a Morisset educational facility during the 1970s and 1980s.
Both men were extradited to Australia from New Zealand, where charges were formally laid.
The arrests are the culmination of a two year operation.
