The careers of 20 young soccer stars have been given a major boost after graduating from a two month intensive centre of excellence program.
The boys and girls trained twice a week, learning new technical skills to help them improve their game.
“the facilities we have aren’t as good as the city guys, but with this it helps us to evolve and become better players”
And the coaches say there’s some promising talent.
” it would be my hope that a lot of them would go to the major clubs in the gold coast and brisbane, or the nsw institute of sport in Newcastle ”
Organisers plan to make the program a yearly event.
