GOVERNMENT REVERSES DECISION ON HUNTER GIRL’S MEDICAL TREATMENT

A Hunter couple, who last week issued a plea to the federal government to continue subsidising their daughter’s medical treatment, has had their wish granted.
Seven-year-old Ivy Tregenza suffers from an immune deficiency, which requires her to take a drug which affects her growth.
Her parents were recently told the government would no longer subsidise her growth hormone treatment, but last night, that decision was reversed.
