A futuristic take on what Newcastle could look like at the turn of the century, is causing a stir.
The Maritime Centre today unveiled ‘Newcastle 300’ – a short animation by filmmaker Jeff Julian and photographer Greg Downing.
It takes viewers on a journey from colonial days, to the year 2100 – where high rises have transformed the skyline.
The film will be a permanent feature at the centre.

If you want Newcastle looking like that in 2100 that is fine with me but leave our rail alone as a city should have a rail system to keep the people in it so it wont become a derelict city and that is what will happen if the truncation gose ahead.
