Former NRL player Craig Field has been found guilty of manslaughter after an altercation at Kingscliff in 2012 that left Cudgen cattle farmer Kelvin Kane dead.
A Supreme Court jury found Field not guilty of the murder of Mr Kane, who was a victim of a one-punch attack at the Kingscliff Hotel on the 15th of July 2012.
Despite the efforts of his defense team, Field has been refused bail. He had remained out of custody throughout the three week trial in Lismore.
