BOOST FOR AGED CARE SERVICES

The New England has received federal government funding to go towards improving aged care services.
Almost $4 million has been allocated to create 44 more places in aged care facilities across the region, while another 74 people will receive at-home care.
So far, it’s been revealed Uniting Care facilities in Tamworth, Gunnedah and Inverell will share 32 new places, while Tamworth’s Nazareth House has received an allocated Indigenous placement.
It’s the largest growth in the region’s aged care facilities since 2007.
